Support workers (permanent and casual contracts – day, sleep-in and waking night hours)
Following a recent expansion, we are looking for exceptional people to join our team of Support Workers to predominantly support an exceptional young person with autism. Our Support Workers are paid a market leading salary of £25,087 per year (based on a base salary of £20,410 per year plus sleep-in and waking night hours) increasing to £28,340 (based on a base salary of £23,681 per year plus sleep-in and waking night hours) for permanent staff and £10.42 per hour for day working hours (£9.30 plus 12.07% rolled up holiday pay) and £15.63 per hour for waking night working hours (£13.95 plus 12.07% rolled up holiday pay) for bank (casual) staff. In addition to these excellent rates of pay, you will also be reimbursed for expenses incurred whilst on shift, paid a market leading sleep-in rate and enjoy an annual leave entitlement that increases with service.
At Sussex Empowered Living we specialise in supporting adults aged 18 to 65 with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism. We help those under our care and support to achieve their personal goals and maximise their independence within their own homes and in the local community.
As a Support Worker with us you will be part of a friendly, supportive team where each member of staff is encouraged and enabled to build upon their skills by being offered free training and, for the right people, opportunities to progress within the company. Due to the diverse nature of our client base, we are interested in receiving applications from all demographics.
Your role will include supporting those under our care and support to access the wider community; develop and build upon their life skills and progress in areas that they themselves identify as important.
It is essential that you:

- have experience of working with people who present with complex needs and behaviours which challenge, whether that be on a paid, voluntary or personal basis
- are able to work towards and meet targets

- are able to be flexible with shift patterns (to include evenings and weekends and sleep-in and waking nights)
- are proficient with Microsoft Word, email and search engines.
