Current Vacancies in Brighton

Following a recent expansion, we are looking for an exceptional person to join our team of Community Caseworkers. Our Community Caseworkers are paid a market leading salary of £23,147 per year (based on a base salary of £20,410 per year plus one sleep in a week) increasing to £26,418 (based on a base salary of £23,681 per year plus one sleep in a week). In addition to these excellent rates of pay, you will receive free leadership training , be reimbursed for expenses incurred whilst on shift, paid a market leading sleep-in rate and enjoy an annual leave entitlement that increases with service.

At Sussex Empowered Living we support adults aged 18 to 65 with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism. We help those under our care and support to achieve their personal goals and maximise their independence within their own homes and in the local community. Our speciality is the provision of a supported living service to individuals with the above diagnoses who also identify as transgender or non-binary.

As a Support Worker with us you will be part of a friendly, supportive team where each member of staff is encouraged and enabled to build upon their skills by being offered free training and, for the right people, opportunities to progress within the company. Due to the diverse nature of our client base, we are interested in receiving applications from all demographics.

Your role will include supporting those under our care and support to access the wider community; develop and build upon their life skills and progress in areas that they themselves identify as important.

It is essential that you:

  • have the right to work in the UK are able to work towards and meet targets
  • have good written and verbal communication
  • are able to be flexible with shift patterns (to include evenings and weekends, sleep-ins and on-calls) 
  • are proficient with Microsoft Word, email and search engines 
  • are committed to providing good customer service to those under our support.


It is preferable (but not essential) that you:

  • have a full/current UK driving licence
